The cold-blooded racist police murders of Eric Garner and Michael Brown were not isolated events; the cops killed them, and continue to target black workers and youth because the vicious racist ruling class needs to terrorize us into accepting a future of poverty and imperialist war. We don’t accept it!
We don’t accept a life where being black means you can be gunned down at any moment with little to no consequence. We don’t accept a system where the lives of Shantel Davis, Kyam Livingston, Kimani Gray, Eric Garner, Rhamarley Graham, and Michael Brown mean nothing to these killer kkkops; this system doesn’t deserve to exist! We call on everyone to build support for the rebellion started in Ferguson, at your schools, at work, in your churches and in your unions.
The anti-racist rebellion in Ferguson shows us that when push comes to shove, the racist police are no match for a united and fighting working class. Lead mostly by unemployed youth, the rebels have basically foiled the Ferguson and St. Louis County police and the black State Police Captain; they broke the curfew and forced the Governor to call out the National Guard – showing us all what's possible when workers fight back! Not only did they stand up to tanks, tear gas and riot cops, but they defied Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, who all rushed to put out the fire. We have a lot to learn from them.
Politicians, preachers, cops and the media all labeled the militant youth everything but what they are — they are rebels that lead a powerful uprising; they are not looters, rioters or misguided. On the whole the youth targeted the racist bosses and their goons.
The rebels broke capitalist laws, the same laws which protect mass murderers that are responsible for millions of deaths from racist profit wars, global drug cartels, mass poverty and unemployment. These gangsters in suits walk free, run businesses, command armies and hold government power. The ruling class tries to paint blacks, Latinos and the immigrant working-class as criminals, but in reality, it is bosses who are the enemies, the real criminals, closing hospitals and killing patients as well as workers and children in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.
Only a revolutionary communist society where the working class has power can rid the world of racist killer kkkops. The capitalist courts encourage and tolerate cops who murder black, Latino and immigrant workers. Meanwhile, five million black and Latino workers and youth are forced into the criminal injustice system, either imprisoned, on probation or on parole. Seventy percent of the 2.4 million in U.S. prisons are black and Latino. And if cops do get punished it’s a slap on the wrist.

The Republicans and Democrats serve the same class of billionaires. They are fighting over who will steer this sinking ship of US imperialism. They are fighting over how to secure Wall St. profits, US dominance and ultimately, who will lead us to war against Russia and the China.
One of the main lessons of the 2018 election circus is, this system doesn’t work. With an openly racist white Nationalist in the White House, the dogs are off the leash. From Charlottesville to the fascist Proud Boys attacking anti-racists after headlining at the East Side Republican Club in NY, from the crazed MAGA Bomber to random racist terror shootings of black people in Tennessee, Texas and Florida, a mass fascist movement has been energized by the Trump White House. It is another wave on top of the state terror of racist police brutality and immigration round-ups and deportations.
Economically, Wall Street profits are soaring and the gap in wages and wealth between rich and poor, black and white, citizen and immigrant, women and men, continues to grow. How can the rich get richer when more people are working? Because the union leaders and the Democratic politicians they are setting us up to follow, are no match for the bosses. With 40 years of attacks on unions, by Republicans and Democrats alike, wages are down and more than 90% of the workforce is non-union. The harder and more jobs we work, the poorer we get.
Around the world, neither party has been able to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Instead, war has killed and displaced millions in Syria, Libya and Yemen, where the Saudi Royal Family and the US military are starving and bombing millions.
Hunger and terror have created more refuges around the world than even World War II, and there is no end in sight. Millions have fled Africa for Europe and millions have fled South America for the North. A caravan of thousands of refugees that began in Honduras is headed for the US. Trump has called out the Border Patrol, ICE and the National Guard to round up immigrants, and separate kids from their families at the border. While Obama “quietly” deported more than 400,000 immigrants, more than all previous Presidents combined, Trump enjoys the spectacle, as it helps build a mass fascist army.
Whether you are voting or not, and most workers and youth will not, we need to defend, protect and welcome the Refugee Caravan. We can organize discussions in our unions and churches, on our campuses and high schools, and inside the army and National Guard. If Trump attacks the refugees that were in large part created by US imperialism in Latin America, workers and students should walk out, soldiers should refuse their orders.
In the end, it’s not about what Party is in power, but which class. Both Parties work for the billionaires. It was Obama who bailed out Wall St. bankers and the auto companies while tens of millions of black families lost their jobs, their homes and their futures. And the racist billionaires will never give up power to a vote. Workers and youth must take power with communist revolution. This Election Day, vote with your feet. Join PLP!

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has long served as a military arm of the major Western capitalist nations, fulfilling their need to expand into foreign territory to rob natural resources and exploit global labor markets. Since the end of the Cold War, NATO has been responsible for the murder of millions of our working-class brothers and sisters in the Balkans, Iraq, Libya, Palestine and Afghanistan.
Imperialist war, as accomplished through NATO, is an inevitable consequence of capitalism. What Lenin outlined almost 100 years ago still holds true today: when domestic rates of profit begin to fall, the capitalist bosses either need to expand beyond their borders, or see their system collapse. This is the expansion the world's workers witness today, with racist mass murder and fascist repression committed in the name of “free markets” and “spreading democracy.”
The way to defeat this genocide is not through lukewarm reform battles, or siding with the “lesser-evil” capitalist politicians. Any struggle that hopes to defeat imperialism while keeping the profit system intact is doomed to fail the world's workers. The only viable path for the international working-class is to join the revolutionary communist movement, led by Progressive Labor Party.
Only a mass international movement will crush the racist and sexist profit system that concentrates wealth in the hands of the few, and replace it with a system run by workers, who will harness the enormous potential of all and distribute the fruits of their labor according to need.

The Chicago teachers’ strike is a fight back against the racist conditions (overcrowded classes, segregated schools, etc.) our children face every day. Strikes allow workers to feel the power that we have as a class to stop the bosses in their tracks. The liberal Democrats, Obama and Duncan are leading the racist attacks on students and teachers in the U.S. with their “Race to the Top”. The anti-racist fight that 26,000 Chicago school workers are waging is an inspiration to workers around the world, like the striking Lonmin miners in Marikana, South Africa.

The response of the liberal black led ANC to these workers demands was the racist police massacre of 8 miners on August 8th and 34 striking miners on August 16th.

Why would a racist vigilante stalk and murder a young black man in a hoodie? Capitalist bosses have used their racist police to criminalize black youth, justified by racist stereotypes that have led to seven times as many in jail and prison as forty years ago , 7.3 million in jail, prison on probation or on parole, 12 million ex-felons on the streets trying to find work. Totally racist: black people are eight times more likely to be in jail or prison than white people, targets of pretext stops by police and “consent” searches of their cars and bodies. Zimmerman was acting out the racist stereotype of black youth promoted by the bosses for the last 50 years as the cops, prosecutors, and courts, their racist thugs, carried out their program of mass incarceration. Zimmerman pulled the trigger, but capitalism killed Trayvon.
The racism directed especially at black male youth should be seen in the context of the racism toward 12 million undocumented workers, over 8 million of them in the labor force. Along with black men under the control of the system or stigmatized by a felony conviction, they are the most vulnerable of workers who must work under any conditions the bosses offer. Then their vulnerability and desperation is used to drive down other workers, to find people to break strikes. So they have broken one union after another and driven down wages and working conditions for ALL WORKERS.
The system of capitalism needs low wages to make the most profits. The racist attacks by the criminal justice and immigration systems create low-wage vulnerable labor. Zimmerman acted on capitalism’s racist stereotype, and capitalism is guilty of Trayvon’s death. The capitalism system must be smashed!
But what to put in its place? Communism! A system run by and for the working class, led by the revolutionary communist Progressive Labor Party. Only communism can destroy the bosses’ racism, create real opportunity for all of us to develop our abilities and use them to serve our class, the working class. In a communist society youth are cherished, the abilities developed, not gunned down in the streets or rounded up in jails and prisons. We need communism now.
